On December 1, 2021, Beijing took the lead in implementing the fourth phase of China's emission standard for non road mobile machinery. This is a full year ahead of the national implementation of the national four standards announced by the Ministry of ecological environment. On December 29, Shenzhen also announced the early implementation of the fourth phase of China's emission standards for non road mobile machinery.

According to the requirements of the Shenzhen government circular: from May 1, 2022, the non road mobile machinery below 560kw (including 560kw) produced, imported and sold in Shenzhen and the diesel engines installed therein must meet the requirements of the fourth phase standard for non road mobile machinery.

What is the impact of the fourth stage emission requirements of environmental protection on the production enterprises of 4WD off-road forklifts?

1. For the production enterprises of four-wheel drive off-road forklift, it is necessary to make relevant production arrangements for the four-wheel drive off-road forklift in advance, and clear the inventory of the three-wheel drive off-road forklift in advance. 3. For enterprises that have recently purchased forklift trucks, they should consciously comply with the requirements of the state and the city where they are located. They can purchase the four-wheel off-road forklift trucks discharged in the third stage in this city before the deadline. If some dealers are under the pressure of de stocking, it is not ruled out that they may reduce the price, which may help the enterprises save a sum of money. However, after the deadline, when purchasing forklifts in the cities where China is located, it is necessary to consciously purchase forklifts with the fourth stage emission standard.
4. For enterprises that have already owned 4WD off-road forklifts: Forklifts that have been purchased before the deadline will not be affected.
